Missing $20 million Powerball Winner Comes Forward
Thursday, April 4, 2019

After six days of speculation, the mystery winner of last week’s Australia Powerball jackpot has come forward – with an extraordinary story about the origin of his winning numbers. The draw on Thursday 28th March saw the Powerball winner lay a sole claim to the $20 million prize.

Thursday’s Powerball results were 4, 5, 25, 26, 27, 30 and 34, with a Powerball number of 18. The ticket was bought from Woolworths Petrol in Prestons, South-West Sydney.

Powerball Winner Hasn’t Slept In Six Days

The Powerball winner, who has chosen to remain anonymous, revealed that he was aware of his win since the draw last Thursday, and reportedly hasn’t slept a wink since. He waited six days to come forward while forming plans for his new-found millions.

The Sydney multi-millionaire has no major expenditures in mind for his Powerball win: “I’ll be investing some and spending some. We’ll be keeping it pretty low key. We’ve always wanted to do a bit of a road trip around Australia and visit friends along the way.”

Dreamt His Way to Becoming a Powerball Jackpot Winner

The Prestons man also had a strange story to tell regarding his winning Powerball numbers – namely, that he saw them in a dream. “I dreamed these numbers about 30 years ago. It was a very vivid dream and I saw every number in plain sight. So I thought I’d better play them on the lottery.

“I didn’t know which game to play but the amount of numbers I saw in the dream worked well with Powerball, so I guess that dream paid off.”

Another Powerball Winner At Large

The Sydney winner was not alone in being a mystery to the public; lottery representatives are still on the search for an Oz Lotto jackpot winner in Hobart, Tasmania. A $23 million ticket for the draw on Tuesday 26th March remains unclaimed.

The missing ticket was one of three shares in the $70 million Oz Lotto jackpot. The other two shares, amounting $46 million, went to the same Melbourne man after he accidentally bought two of the same ticket. Oz Lotto representatives have urged Tasmanians to double-check their tickets; the winner has 6 months from the date of the draw to claim their winnings.

The next Powerball draw will take place on Thursday 4th April.
